Learn Academy’s academic year runs from August 15th to May 21st.
We follow the Anchorage School District’s calendar.
September 2nd – Labor Day
October 14th – Indigenous Peoples Day
October 18th – Student release grading day. End of first quarter.
October 25th – Student release professional development day
November 11th – Student release professional development day
November 28th – 29th – Thanksgiving
December 20th – Student release grading day. End of second quarter.
December 23rd – 31st – Winter Break
January 1st – 3rd – New Year’s Break (Reopen on January 6th)
January 20th – Martin Luther King Jr. Day
February 17th – Presidents Day
February 28th – Student release professional development day
March 7th – Student release grading day. End of third quarter.
March 10th – 14th – Spring Break
April 18th – April Closure Day
May 21st – Classes end. End of fourth quarter.
Learn Academy will be open for Parent/Teacher Conferences on October 23rd and 24th, and February 26th and 27th from 11:30 pm until 6:00 pm. During these conference days, Learn Academy will extend its operating hours to accommodate parent-teacher meetings. This means that parents and guardians have the opportunity to meet with teachers and discuss their child’s progress during the afternoon and early evening hours. The regular program activities will also continue during this time, ensuring that students can still participate in their educational and recreational activities while conferences are ongoing. Additionally, afternoon spots are available at no extra charge for before, after, and both before/after students, allowing families flexibility in scheduling conference appointments.
